Amongst the very best attractions in Besalu are the 12th century Romanesque Bridge (crossing the Fluvia River), the medieval town walls and the historical Monastery of Sant Pere. Filled with beautiful sites and great historical significance, Besalu has been inhabited since the Roman Period, using its most important attractions dating back into the 10th century.
